Support Terms of Service
All support work is completed at an hourly rate listed in the estimate, with a minimum one-hour charge per request. The estimate provided before work begins is just that, an estimate. Once work begins, Viewpoint will notify you if it appears that significant extra time will be required to complete the work requested.
If Viewpoint sends you material for your review and feedback, and more than two weeks passes before receiving approval, the project will be considered dormant and all work will pause. I’ll invoice you for all work produced until that point, and we can start the project again when you’re ready.
As a small business, we rely on your prompt payment of all invoices. To help us out, you agree to pay all invoices within 15 days. Viewpoint will send you an electronic invoice at the end of each month for the work completed that month and you can pay by cash, cheque or e-transfer. We reserve the right to charge interest on all overdue debts at the rate of 5% per month. If you choose to cancel this work, you’ll pay in full for everything produced until that point.
Viewpoint cannot be held liable to you or any third-party for damages, including lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential or special damages, even if you’ve advised me of them, that result from any service or product provided. You assume liability for the content, software and any activity on your web or email hosting. You guarantee that all text or artwork you provide are either owned by you, or that you have permission to use them. After final payment, you own the visual elements and text created for the project. I retain all rights to the code and software I create, and license its use to you in perpetuity for this project only. If for some reason one part of this contract becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts of it remain in place.
